新聞だか雑誌だかで紹介の記事を見て、気になったので購入。
特に自転車旅行に興味があるわけではないのですが、
こういう「テーマ」をもった旅行記は好きです。
以前、日本全国のＪリーグスタジアムを自転車で回るという本を
読んでかなり面白かったのですが（「ちゃりこぎスタジアム」表英毅）、
それと同等に面白かったです。
世界の各大陸を１１年かけて２周。
全くもってスケールの大きい旅ですが、かかった費用は７００万円、
年間１００万も満たないというのだから驚きです。
主に語られているのは旅先での人との出会いですが、
この辺りは性格やキャラクターがなせるものなので、
個人的にはあまりピンとこなかったかな。
最終章近くにある「たった一度の恋」にはちょっとグっときましたが。
「その土地の自然や風土を肌で感じながら、自分で行きたい方向に進めること。」
これが自転車旅行の魅力とのことですが、
一人旅や歩き旅行が好きな僕もこのあたりには共感。
自転車はハード的なハードルが高過ぎて、ちょっと手が出せそうにないですが、
この冒険心というか好奇心は自分自身の旅にテーマを与えるときに
大いに参考になりそうです。
うーん、なんか旅がしたくなってきた。
それも知らない土地を自分の足で歩き回りたい。
とりあえず未踏の１４都道府県のどこかに行ってみよう。

知らない土地を自分の足で走る、けっこういけますよ。これ。
来週にはJの日程が発表されますが、これで今年どこにツーリングにいけるかも狙いが決まりそうです。楽しみだ。
