世にありふれた成功本、ノウハウ本、
なるほど、サクセスストーリーは聞こえもよく
モチベーションも上がる気がします。
けど、実際には日々の仕事や生活では失敗の連続。
僕もこれまでの仕事の中でいくつもの失敗をしてきました。
だけども、そこから何を学べるか。
悔やんでいたり何かに責任転嫁しても仕方がない、
自分自身を向上させるためには失敗から学ぶことは非常に大事だと思います。
（まぁもちろんそれもお題目でなかなか難しいんですが）

そんなわけで手に取ったのがこの本。
帯には「失敗を愛せる人が最後に勝つ」「打たれ強さの鍛え方」。
本文の序盤では「挫折とは、自分の能力以上のことに
挑戦した（≒成長しようとした）証拠である」。
失敗からの学び方のエッセンスがどんどん出てくると思い、
楽しみに読み進めてみたのですが。

前半こそ、この本を手に取ったきっかけの思いを満たす内容ではありましたが、
後半は会社の生き抜き方みたいな陳腐なノウハウがずらり。。
組織上での人間関係のすり抜け方や、権力のうまい使い方、
ありふれたリーダーシップ論。
まぁ一応「挫折に打ち勝つ力」というキーワードでつながってはいるのですが、
別にその辺は他にいくらでもノウハウ本があると思うんだけなぁ（読まないけど）。

一点だけ、中盤の「捨てる覚悟を持つための技」は、興味深く読めました。
曰く「下手な延命処置は、むしろ会社の寿命を縮める」。
会社を「チーム」や「プロジェクト」に置き換えてもいいでしょう。
捨てることによる代償をしっかりと受け入れて、次を仕掛ける。
そんなうまい「捨て方」が紹介されており、ここは参考になったかな。
偶然、フロサポ仲間のたつパパさんが同じような本を読んでいてビックリ。
「捨てる」は直近のキーワードにしてみよう。

それにしても、ビジネス本は選ぶのが難しい。。
慎重に行こう。
