宮古島旅行記（３／５）～島一周ドライブ [イベント・旅]
すっかり間が空いてしまいました。
日記というのもはばかれるレベル…
が、ブログの語源は「WebLog」つまり「ログ」なわけで、
記録を残すことに意義があると思います。
タイムリーさは欠けてしまいますが、自分的備忘録として書き綴りたいと思います。
さて、今回初めて訪れた宮古島。
沖縄本島から南西に約３００キロのところにあります。
３００キロといえば、東京～名古屋くらいの距離なわけで、
同じ沖縄県といえども天気から何から違います。
※ちなみに石垣島は更に１００キロくらい西。台湾のほうが近い感じです。
宮古島の面積は約１６０キロ平方メートル。
川崎市が１４０キロ平方メートルですから、ほぼ同じくらいか。
まぁ形が片や三角形（宮古島）、片や縦長（川崎市）で、全然違いますが。
これくらいの大きさなら車でグルリと回れば半日くらいです。
というわけで滞在３日目は島一周ドライブとしゃれこみました。
丁度島の海沿いをぐるりと道路が囲んでいるというのも好都合でした。
そうそう、島内の移動は全てレンタカーでした。
公共交通機関はほとんどなく、バスが数本あるくらいでしょうか。
（あまり見かけなかった）
それにしても地元民の車のスピードの遅いこと！
いわゆる「沖縄時間」というやつでしょうか。
そもそも道を走っている半分くらいの車が「わ」ナンバー、
つまりレンタカーだったわけなんですが。

まずはホテル付近からスタート。
大きな橋を渡りホテルの対岸の来間島へ。
海の向こうの真ん中あたりのちょっと赤っぽいのがホテルです。
この橋を渡ってきました。
すぐ下の海が綺麗！
渡ってきた橋を戻り再び宮古島本島へ。
ところどころ止まっては写真をパチリンコ。
途中、さとうきび畑のどまんなかにあるオサレのカフェにて休憩。
マンゴーパフェ～ 奥さんがペロリと。
僕はマンゴーレアチーズケーキなぞ。
南東の端にある名所「東平安名岬」です。
素晴らしい眺め。
南側に開けている大海。
地球が丸いことを実感できます。
灯台から振り返っての眺め。
南に張り出している箇所からなので向こうに見えるのが宮古島全体です。
これまたお店に立ち寄り。
海鮮風沖縄ソバ。
カップヌードルシーフード味のすっごいゴージャス版といった感じでした（笑）
いやいや、美味しかったですよ。
ビーチにも立ち寄り。
「砂山ビーチ」です。
坂を降りていくと目の前に広がる海！
ホテル前のビーチとは違い結構透明でした！
水中でパチリ。
（が、翌日もっと透明な海でシュノーケルをすることになり再度歓喜♪）
今度は北端の大橋です。池間大橋。
すっかり夕方ですね。
今度は「西」平安名崎。
「東」ほどのインパクトはなかったかな。
綺麗なサンセットを見るはずでしたが、、。
雲の向こうに太陽が隠れてしまい、残念。
一日がかりのドライブで結構疲れてしまい、
夕食は外食ではなく、スーパー（イオン）で買ったお惣菜を
ホテルで食べるというヘタレっぷり（汗）
